THE BEGINNING
Graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in triple-majors (Economics, Finance, and Information Technology) from the German University in Cairo, I started working in Telecommunications in Vodafone International Services as a UK Account Advisor.
Shortly after, I joined The Conrad Cairo Hotel as a Marketing Coordinator, where I continued to learn about customer service, and enhanced my graphic design skills, while beginning to discover digital marketing.
EXPLORE AND EXPAND
In 2011, social media was growing big in Egypt. I combined my passion for writing, graphic design, and marketing to create Mingle Magazine, the first e-magazine for women in the country.
That same year, the Mingle Bazaar came to life. The Bazaar was a full-day event where buyers and sellers came together for a fun shopping experience. Through organizing these packed events, I connected with many local designers, whom rented out space and displayed their products at the Bazaar, in return for complimentary advertisements in Mingle Magazine.
MOVING FORWARD
After 3 successful shopping bazaars in less than a year, I felt like there was still more I could do to support small businesses in Egypt.
In 2012, I opened Boutique Basha, an upscale boutique in Cairo selling home and women accessories by talented Egyptian designers.
Ever since, I have proudly completed several social media, events planning, and art projects, as I continue to manage Marketing in an international travel management company in Egypt.
STEPPING OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE
After almost 12 years, I decided to take on a new and exciting role which combines my current skills, knowledge, and experience allowing me to work towards achieving my dreams.
Remember, your comfort zone is a beautiful place, but you do not grow there for long...
